CYSEC is delighted to announce the arrival of Pascal Junod to the companys Advisory Board effective February 1st, 2020.
Pascal is currently a cryptographer at one of the largest social media companies. His fields of expertise and academic interests include applied cryptography, software protection, software security and ethical hacking.
Thanks to his track record in academic research, extensive industry knowledge and experience as well as his entrepreneurial spirit, Pascal will provide valuable expertise to further accelerate the development of CYSEC’s security technology.

About Pascal Junod
Pascal graduated with a Master in Computer Science from ETH Zurich in 2000. He obtained his PhD in cryptography at EPF Lausanne in 2004 where he was working as a full-time teaching and research assistant in the Security and Cryptography Laboratory of Prof. Serge Vaudenay.
Starting 2005 Pascal worked as cryptographer for the Kudelski Group, a world leader in the Pay-TV and cybersecurity industry.
From 2008 to 2017 Pascal held a faculty position (full professor) at the University of Applied Science Western Switzerland (HES-SO) where, among other duties, he was responsible for establishing the information security bachelor/master programs.
In 2016, he co-founded an information security startup with a successful exit – strong.codes SA – active in the domain of software protection.
Pascal has led numerous successful R&D projects in the areas of industrial cryptography and information security as well as consulting engagements.
Pascal is an author of several cryptography books, multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, has spoken at renowned conferences and is author of numerous patents in the field of industrial cryptography.
